At Svana Jewels, we provide a transparent and business-safe Buyback & Exchange program for eligible jewellery. Please read the terms below carefully.
1. General Conditions
- Policy applies only to purchases made directly from Svana Jewels (website or official store).
- Original invoice and all product certificates (IGI/GIA/SGL/BIS) are mandatory.
- Product must pass Svana Jewels’ quality check (QC) for authenticity, condition, and weight.
- Policy not applicable to customised, engraved, altered, damaged, or tampered items.
- International orders and purchases during clearance/promotions may be excluded.
2. Buyback (Cash/Refund to Original Mode)
- Gold Jewellery: 100% of prevailing gold value (as per Svana internal rate card) less GST on buyback, making charges, and wastage (all non-refundable).
- Diamond Jewellery: 100% of prevailing gold value + 70% of diamond value (as per Svana internal rate card). Making, wastage, GST are non-refundable.
- Gemstone Jewellery: 100% of prevailing gold value + 70% of certified gemstone value (as per Svana internal rate card).
- Coins/Bars/Loose Stones: Not eligible for buyback unless expressly stated on invoice.
- Refund timeline: 10–15 working days after QC completion and documentation.
3. Exchange (Upgrade to Higher Value Purchase)
- Exchange allowed only against a new purchase of higher value than the item submitted.
- Gold Jewellery Exchange: 100% prevailing gold value (less GST/making/wastage).
- Diamond/Gemstone Exchange: 100% gold value + 80% of stone value.
- Customer pays the difference amount and all applicable taxes on the new product.
- Any promotional discounts on the new product may not be clubbed with exchange value at our discretion.
4. Valuation & Rate Card
- All calculations use Svana Jewels’ internal daily rate card (gold, diamond, gemstone) at the time of QC, which may differ from market/spot prices.
- Stone values consider cut, colour, clarity, carat, fluorescence, treatment, certification and demand.
- Net weight for gold valuation excludes non-metal components (stones, enamel, thread, etc.).
5. Documentation & KYC
- Original invoice and all certificates must be submitted. Re-certification (if required) will be chargeable.
- KYC as per regulations (e.g., PAN for transactions at/above prescribed limits) is mandatory.
- Mismatch between product and documentation may lead to rejection.
6. Quality Check (QC)
- QC includes visual inspection, weight verification, metal testing, and certificate validation.
- Items with damage, missing stones, altered settings, or tampering may be rejected or valued lower.
- Svana Jewels’ QC decision is final and binding for buyback/exchange eligibility and valuation.
7. Charges & Deductions
- Non-refundable: Making charges, wastage, GST, shipping/insurance, certification/recertification costs, and any repair/restoration costs.
- Logistics for submitting items (pickup/return) are chargeable to the customer unless stated otherwise.
- If re-polishing/stone setting is needed to complete QC, costs will be deducted from the value.
8. Process
- Contact us at support@svanajewels.com with order details and clear photos.
- We will share the approved logistics method (insured shipment or in-person drop-off).
- After item receipt, QC and valuation are completed; you’ll receive a final quote for buyback/exchange.
- On acceptance, refund (buyback) is processed to the original payment mode, or exchange is adjusted in your new invoice.
9. Exclusions
- Custom orders, engraved/personalised pieces, altered ring sizes (beyond first free resize), or designs with structural changes.
- Products bought under flash sales, clearance, festival deals, coupons or special promotions (unless invoice specifies eligibility).
- Loose diamonds/gemstones without acceptable certification, or coins/bars unless specified.
10. Important Notes
- Policy may be revised without prior notice. The version published on the website at the time of request applies.
- In case of disputes, Svana Jewels reserves the right to final interpretation of the policy.
